“Best Easy Cream Cheese Frosting”

In case you are desperately looking for a suitable cake frosting for your bake, here you go. The frosting that suits all types of cake, cream cheese frosting. And, I have the chocolate flavored frosting for you, the chocolate lover.

Mine, not too sweet, yet, flavorful. I liked the lightness in it.

Good for a 9 to 10-inch Whole Cake
Ingredients
1 cup (8oz) of cream cheese, softened
½ cup (115 grams/ 1 stick) of butter, softened
1 cup (160 grams) of powdered sugar
100 grams of semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted into 3-4 tablespoons
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

Method
Cream the cream cheese and butter in the electric mixer on low speed. Add vanilla essence, then gradually mix in powdered sugar. Continue beating until mixture turns light. Lastly, mix in 3 tablespoons of melted chocolate. Ready as frosting.

Tips: If sweeter frosting is desired, add ½ – 1 cup more of powdered sugar (a.k.a icing sugar or confectionery sugar). Mine, not too sweet, to me.
* 100 grams of baking chocolate may yield more than 3 tablespoons of chocolate sauce. Leave the excess for other purposes, if any.
For cream cheese, I used original Philadelphia cream cheese which is available at major supermarkets.
