Mango Smoothie with Fresh Mango in Glass

Mango Yogurt with Chunks
“These healthy smoothie treats are for everyone to enjoy!”

This homemade smoothie is incredibly simple and doesn’t require a blender – a fork will suffice, but using a blender yields a smoother consistency.

It’s a quick dessert, taking less than 10 minutes to prepare two glasses.

Serves 2 large glasses
Ingredients:
2 honey mangoes, chilled and peeled
1 cup of plain yogurt (low-fat)
2 tablespoons of breakfast cereal (eg honey stars or cornflakes), lightly crushed
2 tablespoons of honey

Method:
1) Cut 1 of the peeled mangos (any shape you find it easy to mash). Place in a bowl and mash into puree with a fork. Put the mango puree with yogurt and honey together. Mix well.

2) Cut another mango into small cubes. Set aside.

3) Get a nice glass, add a layer of yogurt mixture into the glass. Add a layer of mango cubes, followed by 1 tablespoon of cereal. Fill the glass with more yogurt mixture until almost full. Repeat steps for another serving. Serve chilled.

This smoothie is great for anytime of the day.

A glass of my mango smoothie counts about 190kcal (calories less than 1 cup of banana of 220g).

Tips: I opted for ripe Thailand honey mango in this recipe. For the yogurt, I used the Paul’s brand this time.
