Cooking fish may be tricky, as it has a naturally subtle flavor and extremely delicate texture that requires extra attention in a very little cooking time. This comes handy for people who are busy and can’t afford to cook for hours on end. But that doesn’t mean a delicious meal can’t be prepared in such a short cooking period. So aside from baking, frying and steaming fish with your favorite herbs like basil and fennel, an ingenious way to liven up your meals is to incorporate wine into your cooking process.

Bellamy’s organic rice cereal was the first rice cereal I started with for my precious little one. It has to be from organic source, I tried to give as much as I could to my baby. And, reason to choose white rice as first rice cereal meal than the brown rice because there was this nutritionist I met in one of the baby fair told me that white rice is easier for baby to digest as new solid food, though brown rice is more nutritious and wholesome… I listened and followed as it makes sense to me. :)

Oh well…. Now that I am into cooking healthy & tasty restaurant food, that has to do with the cooking demonstration workshop I have attended last Saturday. Thanks to the presenter, Tefal, with the great support of omy.sg.
As you probably know, the cooking workshop took place at Onaka restaurant, or called it the healing kitchen. Onaka, giving an impression that it is a Japanese restaurant, but to its regular diners, it’s already so well known that Onaka restaurant features not only Japanese cuisine, but all healthy & tasty multi-national dishes. And most of the time, the dishes are healthy creations of the chefs.
Did I tell you that I bought a Happy Call Pan? Actually, I bought this a while ago through online purchase which comes with some small freebies, e.g. silicon dish mat, extra sealer strips, and etc. Oh yes, I did… Hey, I am not here to promote any Happy Call products in my post, simply sharing what I have gotten for my cooking use. As usual, it’s just a piece of information, if you like to know (smile).

“Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 2010 – Have you eaten any mooncake yet?”
Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival is tomorrow, but the stores started selling moon cakes since a month ago (some started promoting moon cakes even two months back!). And for a festive food craze like me, I loved moon cakes very much! So, I have been eating at least 1 mini moon cake or half the normal sized cake every other day for the past 1 month!
I loved moon cake.. I really do! All kinds of flavors, for both baked and snow skins. No doubt, I would never missed eating any moon cakes in the office which were given by the clients. I bought my own moon cakes in both Singapore and Hong Kong. What are my favorite flavors? Hmm…Traditional lotus paste baked moon cakes, white lotus paste baked, red bean with green tea paste baked, lotus paste with macadamia nuts baked, lotus paste snow skin, custard snow skin, mango snow skin, chestnut snow skin, and tiramisu snow skin, especially, etc…! And nope, I do not mind products from anywhere, both the bakeries and hotels, that’s my answer if this is your next question…
