When come to Vietnamese food, the summer rolls are the sides which I would never missed. Yes, this is my favorite side dish in the Vietnamese cuisine. So much so that I would want to make my own so that I could have it anytime, even at home. And, I would eat summer rolls as a meal, sometimes. Why not, it has all the vegetables, meat, prawns and bee hoon in one! :)
Summer rolls are not difficult to make, but needed quite a bit of preparation work done. I wouldn’t mind, because I knew I would have the best spicy peanut sauce made by myself that I could adjust the taste best suited to my liking. You are right, the summer rolls would never complete without a nice dipping sauce.

When I had craving for food which normally served in the restaurant, I would always try my mean to cook it at home. Not so the economic reason sometimes, I enjoyed the satisfaction and achievement for being able to whip up food which looked deceptively difficult to assemble and overvalued by the market. It just made me feel contented to see my loved ones enjoy my creation more than having it outside.

It looked like a mashed potato cake to me. It could be served as snack for tea, a side for dinner, and even a main for lunch. Homemade cheesy mashed potato is delicious.
I used the store-bought gravy pack which needed some assembly to be done. From Ikea food market. Yes, just to try out. It was tasty, indeed. (*Actual pic of the cream sauce pack was posted in my Instagram or FB page’s comment)
This recipe was created simply because I had leftover bacon and asparagus in my refrigerator. Hence, the making of mashed potato which I could think of at that point of time. So as to try the cream sauce, in this case.

Singapore IT show was happening since two days back, and hubby got a great deal on a XL digital air fryer for me as an upgrade to my existing smaller one. I thought it would be a good to start using it to make some delicious food as soon as I could, as a form of reward to him. :)
This stuffed potato was delicious, suitable for all ages, and could be served as party snacks, or as a meal! With the help of air fryer, the potato was nicely baked. Its potato skin was crisped to its perfection. And, this recipe is surely a great way to hide away the vegetables!
Yes, I considered this the easiest and relatively healthier snack for the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration, adding on to its healthier cooking method, air frying.
This snack could be made in various ways and flavors. No doubt, those added with seasonings taste better, at the same time, less healthy. I reckoned homemade with minimal (better types of) ingredients. Mine? Moderately good, in term of taste and nutritional value, good enough to let your older toddler to enjoy it. :)
Actually there wasn’t a relationship between Friday, the 13th, and Devil’s eggs. It’s just for fun!
Back to no joke, this egg recipe is great not only to serve on meals, it’s great to serve during tea or a treat during parties. Simple, quick to fix, presentable and delicious. The egg isn’t over-whelming, even to serve and eat on its own, it’s easy on the palate. Thus, nice as munch.
