Many like goose drumstick & thigh (leg) portion, but my only favorite is breast meat part. Here’s the perfect roast breast goose meat.

“The perfect roast right in the city, of Hong Kong.”

I’ve been revisiting my old posts, especially those about Hong Kong food, and I noticed that I haven’t shared any new discoveries or revisited past holiday trips in the last couple of years. As I scrolled through the photos, memories of the delicious food and dining spots we explored in Hong Kong, like Kam’s Roast Goose, came flooding back.”

Kam’s Roast Goose, an emerging contender in the roast goose scene, stood out as a top dining spot on our travel itineraries. Despite being founded by one of Yung Kee’s (鏞記) original founder’s grandsons, Kam’s opted for a more casual dining atmosphere rather than the formal elegance of its predecessor. It presented itself as a go-to place for a quick, hearty roast meal anytime. What’s even better, it’s conveniently situated in Wan Chai district, requiring little navigation.

A welcoming and accessible dining concept unfolds with an open, bright, and hygienic serving station positioned right at the entrance of the eatery. Beyond doubt, the food surpassed mere satisfaction; it was truly exceptional. The queues during peak hours mirrored the high standard of the delectable offerings at this modest eatery.

Needless to say, the photos speak for themselves, capturing the irresistible allure of those perfectly roasted dishes.

Glossy goose leg comes in its huge portion.

For those not inclined towards roast bird, the roast suckling pig stands as the ultimate alternative. With its skin achieving maximum crunchiness, each bite releases an aroma that is truly satisfying.

Indeed, every roast item was irresistibly tempting.

Perfect tri-roasts consist of char siew, roast pork belly & goose meat with rice.

Opting for an individual order of roast with rice, paired with a side of blanched Choy Sum veggie, consistently proves to be the ideal choice for a quick and hearty meal.

We enjoyed century eggs, relishing their translucent appearance and the semi-solid, soft to almost runny state of the yolk, making them a delightful culinary experience.

Concerned about too much meat? Opting for blanched Choy Sum in light soy sauce could be an ideal side order to balance your meal.

In just two years since its opening, Kam’s has ascended to culinary fame. Notably, it earned a prestigious 1-star Michelin award in Hong Kong and Macau in 2016, showcasing its undeniable charm. :)
