“The comfort food, Bo Lo Yao (菠萝油) and French Toast (西多士), in Hong Kong. Don’t forget also the aromatic Milk Tea!”
There were so many reasons for us to choose our hotel stay in Kowloon side during our trip this time. The ultimate reason, food, yummy food, of all kinds.
We stayed near Mongkok (旺角), accessible by public transportations. This seemingly more “shoddy” side of the area was notoriously crowded. To me, it was the shopping and most of all, food. I thought it was for good.read more
Came back from my holiday in Hong Kong & Macau just not too long, already miss the city and good food there! Feeling nostalgic, I would write and share my enticing food journey over the vacation. ~
We found this cafe during our online research on more yummy food in Hong Kong before our trip commenced. Noted that this Australia Dairy Co (澳洲牛奶公司), located at 49 Parkes St, Kowloon, Hong Kong, was lauded as the best breakfast place serving the perfect scrambled egg, I was really hyped up by the fact that I would get to taste it real soon.read more
1)Green Tea & Macadamia Nuts Cake. This luscious cake was so delicious with its pleasant sweet taste and fun’nutty’ texture in between. Its mild green tea flavour elevated the overall. It was definitely a good treat after heavy meal.
2) Tri-Colour Mousse in the Glass. It was made with 3 layers of mousse, vanilla strawberry and chocolate. The texture of the mousse was so velvety and light-bodied. Its pleasantly sweet taste was certainly a plus point in making the glass a very popular dessert choice.read more
Just couldn’t stop sharing with you how much fun & food we had over the 5-day trip in Club Med. Here we had some main food to showcase. Good and not too good, just wanted you to have some brief ideas so that you could choose the best among the wide choices and seemingly unlimited spreads. :)
1) Scallop & Asparagus in XO Sauce. These sautéed scallops were nicely done to its tender and juicy state. With XO sauce added to the scallops, taste was robust and delicious.read more
“The dainty appetizers and light bites @ Club Med, Binta Ria”
What else? It was all about the food we had during our 5-day Bintan Island trip! :) Just to share with you some of these unique and luscious appetizers…
1) Chicken fillet in sliced cucumber roll, and the plating, complete with pineapple cubes as well as some sort of pineapple juice reduction as its sauce. Texture of chicken was juicy and the cucumber yielded a refreshing crunch to it. The pineapple cubes also complement well with the chicken cucumber rolls. Overall taste was not over powering, but enough to fill your palate pleasantly. I thought the dish looked easy to assemble it at home, I should just try to replicate my version of it one day. :)read more
“Our 2-day FOOD Trip in Malacca..was so recharging!”
We visited Malacca over the weekend.
This was our second short getaway within the year. From SG to Malacca, it took around 3 hours bus journey.
I loved vacations!
As a self claimed traveler, not so a tourist (><), we always had our extensive research and detailed itinerary planned out, for every single trip, long and short, and aimed to fulfil each and every programme set out in the excel sheet. Without disappointment, we indeed fulfilled all our planning, for food and visits. Certainly, it was the food that matters the most to me! :) The best experience from this trip was gotten to try Malacca local delicacies and specialites food like Chendol, Satay Celup and Chicken rice ball.. Good old yummy food!read more
