Hainanese Pork Chop (海南猪排)

“Hainanese pork chop dish should be submerged in less viscous till almost diluted sauce. So, you do not need to thicken it with corn starch slurry.”

This is my version of Hainanese pork chop, and here’s my recipe for you. Taste guaranteed!

Grilled Mixed Herbs Salmon & Tomatoes (Air-Fried)

Crisped and browned on the surface, but tender and moist inside. That’s how my grilled Salmon was. I usually cooked this way when I wanted to have pasta or noodles in sauce, or rice with other saucy dishes.

I wouldn’t serve as it is as a main course, if I did not make a sauce to go along, even though it wasn’t dried at all. I just thought it would be a bit plain.. unless to make some wet sides eg baked beans, gravies baby corns, mashed potato with sauce, etc. Salsa or cheesy spinach might be good, too. Those would do.. Alright, I should do the Western main course style the next time. :)

Oh yes, this super easy and delicious fish dish is meant for the busy parents, working couples and moody simplistic personnel. Yes… It took merely 20 minutes, from preparation to cooked. You didn’t even need to marinate it. Quick yet healthy. If you liked, serve it with steamed rice, too! I did, at times. :D More

Tomato Fried Egg (番茄炒蛋)

“Simply tasty and healthy tomato fried egg!”

Fried egg with fresh tomatoes was one of the dishes I always cooked at home. I learned the dish from many TVB shows. Not sure why but it seemed that Hong Kong people loved cooking this, and yes, even in the shows. :D

Nope, those shows did not provide its recipe, but I managed to figure it out in my own. :) If I remembered correctly, the dish was commonly cooked with just the fresh tomatoes, but in my recipe, I had some chopped shallots added. This was just to elevate the aroma as well as the natural sweetnes of the dish, and purely a personal preference. More
