Soup-based Macaroni suits all diets. It’s a low fat and healthy! Easy to make, it takes me less than 30 minutes to get it served. No long hour boiling is required.
I added mixed peas. These mixed peas make the dish much more appetizing and presentable. Kids love colours, don’t they. Not just that, these mixed peas complement the taste of the bland macaroni. Scope and eat them together makes your soup macaroni meal more interesting!read more

Hot and Sour Soup is excellent as soup to enjoy before having your main course as its pleasant sour taste with a hint of spicy heat increases one’s appetite. Campbell brand produces canned Szechuan Hot and Sour Soup which turned out to be one of my favourite as instant solution to a quick meal which happened to me once in a blue moon. Having said that, the home cooked version of Hot and Sour Soup would still my best option. Subtly flavoured, added with abundance of ingredients in it, I certainly knew what went into my soup.read more

We love Bak Kut Teh.
Bak kut teh, in Hokkien dialect, translates as “meat bone tea”. Bak kut teh dish consists of pork ribs cooked in a Chinese herbs and spices broth for hours. Traditionally, such meaty bone or pork ribs broth is served with Chinese tea. Hot Chinese tea has to be taken after this meat-laden dish, to help to remove the oil and fat within the mouth as well as stomach. Hence, it is called as “meat bone tea” aka Bak kut teh.read more

I liked sweet potatoes, of all ways. Baked, boiled, steamed, soup, and even fried. And all colors of it as well. So, I had to have varieties in my sweet potato soup. I preferred it with less sugar, too. Honey rock sugar would make my preffered choice, and it is good for smoothen dry throat, reduce “heatiness” and improve skin and complexion. To add better flavour to my sweet soup, I liked to use also the pandan leaf. It gives an aroma of pandan in my palate when having it.read more
“Homemade Prawn Noodle Soup that you can’t resist”
1 dish meal is always the easiest cooking as weekday dinner. It could be prepared in 1 hour time, less dishes to wash after meal, and All-in-One balance diet.
I brought medium-sized prawns from the market on Sunday morning (since I do not have time to go market on Monday morning). Prawns have to be fresh since the whole prawn including shell will be used. I kept it in the freezer overnight, and took it out and stored at the defrost compartment this morning. All other ingredients were also in the refrigerator.read more
