Steamed Minced Pork with Mei Cai (Preserved Vegetable) 梅菜蒸肉饼

“It’s always known as the childhood dish cooked by grandma…..”

One of the regular Asian dishes often cooked by grandma back in our childhood days. It’s nothing fanciful, and almost every household knows how to make this. However, this simple pork dish carries most memorable childhood moments as well as the home-feel taste for most people.

I would cook this once in a while, simple reason, it goes just so well with a plate of hot steamed rice! And, it’s just too simple to cook! More

Maple Coffee Pork Ribs

Restaurant standard maple coffee ribs for tonight…. There is no excuse for you not to eat at home!

This is easily one of the best coffee ribs which I have created for my cooking assignment.

This is an easy recipe, with a little bit more steps to follow, but it’s definitely worth the time and effort. Well, everything was done from scratch! :) More

Fried XO Pork

“Use of air-fryer to roast the pork, before stir frying in wok to complete the dish.”

It was an impromptu idea to making of this dish. Just wanting to cook a dish tasted robust and yet able to feed everyone at home. I thought it was easy to cook, and pleasant to taste.

Sounded deceptively complex, but in fact, the dish was easy and quick to assemble. I air fried the sliced meat to create some crispness to it before actually cooking in the wok. Air frying did help the seasoning sauce to fully absorb into the meat during the process. It also made the entire cooking less hassle with shortening of the wok-time. More

Cheesy Stuffed Potato (Air-Fried)

“Easy & scrumptious Western food which can be a meal by itself, made with air fryer!”

Singapore IT show was happening since two days back, and I got a great deal on a XL digital air fryer as an upgrade to my existing smaller one. I thought it would be a good to start using it to make some delicious food as soon as I could, as a form of reward to him. :)

This stuffed potato was delicious, suitable for all ages, and could be served as party snacks, or as a meal! With the help of air fryer, the potato was nicely baked. Its potato skin was crisped to its perfection. And, this recipe is surely a great way to hide away the vegetables! More

Creamy Curry Pork 6-Grain Wrap

“Delicious and wholesome lunch with healthy multi-grain wrap.”

Wrap meals often remind me of Mexico food, but I would prefer having the wrap with an Asian flavor closer to my palate at times, if I were to make one at home. For this reason, I chose to make my wrap in my Asian inspired recipe. Yes, with curry, pork… Already having my dry curry pork recipe which cooked to more an Indian cuisine (See recipe here), the curry pork cooking has now been simplified, for the wrap creation. Call it Asian-fusion recipe here, it’s mixed to a western flavor, instead.:)

More importantly, to fit this wrap meal into my current diet plan, I used a 6-grain wrap, the latest addition to the wrap range of Mission Foods Singapore. This superfood combination of sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, oats, rye, linseeds and wholemeal brans in the wrap, is surely a great choice to those who are seeking for healthier alternative to the regular white bread and rice. Even for one who doesn’t take grain food, will enjoy this wrap. Try it as the blending of the grains in this wrap taste subtle and well enough that you probably won’t notice its existence while enjoying the goodness from the nutritious wrap. I tried, and liked it a lot. More

Simple Air-Fried (Pork) Meat Ball

“Nice food you can cook with minimal effort”

This dish was cooked last minute as an add-on side dish to my lesser-than-usual amount of dinner dishes this evening. Hence, I could only cooked with what I had in my refrigerator and things could be found in the kitchen pantry.

Nothing fanciful. It was just a very simple meat balls dish. To make it even easier, I air fried the meat balls instead of frying it on pan. Less oil and healthier, of course. Air frying these meat balls simply makes my job much quicker and simpler. More

Homemade (Pork) Luncheon Meat

“Enjoy the ‘sinful’ comfort food without guilt now”

Often we liked the canned luncheon meat (or you called it lunch meat/ SPAM), for its remarkably delicious taste and crispness after pan-fried, but for many luncheon meat lovers, you know you can’t have it much or too often due to the preservative, high sodium content, flavoring and MSG in it. You won’t like to give it to your children as well. So, how about a homemade one?! Some homemade version where salt content is adjustable, for a preservative and flavoring free luncheon meat you gonna make at home. :)

Appearance-wise, it resembled almost like the ‘real’ thing. You won’t probably tell it right by having just a glance, or so. :) More
