Wanted to deplete the stocks of my pasta, I had my quick dinner fixed with some of these available staples.
This packet of assorted pasta shapes used in this recipe was bought from NTUC Finest weeks ago, was to be added to my storage of pastas. I eat pasta quite regularly, to replace having rice instead, as pasta is lower in GI so as to feel fuller for longer. Since the first time I had this similar type of wonderful homecooked pasta dish, I was in love with its perfect flavorful taste.
Hence, with the similar cooking method, I have made several adaptions to it, with slight changes in condiments used, and various side ingredients to go along with it each time, when I felt like having this pasta again.
Previously, we had the claims and prawns, or added with diced chicken fillet version… With both spaghetti and linguine pasta noodle in respective cookings, I had the flower crab version this time (also slight change in recipe)!read more

Called this recipe by listing out it’s main ingredients, I was not sure how to name this Japanese-Chinese-Western styles pasta dish. However, this recipe is rustic yet elegant.
This classic homemade dish calls for spaghetti smothered in a hearty chicken stock with a touch of Japanese Mirin. The spaghetti strands drew in the full essence of chicken stock and made it so flavourful and tasty.

There was this old male friend of mine, asked me, where to get the sour cream, as he wanted to get one for his baked potatoes the other time. He tried looking for it in the supermarket at dry goods section (where you find bottled mayonnaise and other dressing), but in vain. So, now you know you won’t be able to find it at the dry goods area, of course. Fresh sour cream has to be refrigerated! Find sour cream in small tubs from the chilled compartment where you find butter, margarine, yogurt and whipped cream (smile).read more
Owing this Mac and Cheese recipe to one of my lovely readers, Ivy, who made this request in my Discussion Board of my Facebook Fan Club months ago, I first apologise for the late posting. And here I am sharing my recipe with you (winking smile)..
This is an express and simple-making dish, excellent as side dish or main course. If I cook this as main course, I will not make it over-cheesy to taste. Milder cheesy flavour will be good as large portion will be taken to fill up the stomach for the evening (smile). However, if you wish to cook some distinctive flavours or more creamy and stronger to taste, try adding in crumbled Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue cheese and whipping cream, instead of Dutch Edam cheese and milk (these are for lighter yet flavoursome cheesy taste).read more
