“Low fat healthy cabbage dish, cooked with bottled mushrooms.”
For busy working adults and parents, they have most of their precious time occupied with work and children, so much so that they left very little or no time for themselves. However, they are still willing to sacrifice it so that they could prepare delicious homecooked meals for their loved ones. They do not mind at all, as long as their loved ones are happily eating the nice warm food after a long day out…. but having said that, it would be grateful, if there are more healthy yet instantly ready food products available in the market cater to these groups of people to make their cooking less hassle, I guess more individuals will not hesitate to cook at home, just like me. I changed my job from nearby my house to the CBD area, I have to spend 2 hours more in commuting to and back from work every day. Cooking dinner on daily basis has become a chore, in that sense. However, I never thought of giving up, but strive to find more ways to make my cooking easier and convenient. And, I have added these bottled mushrooms to my ‘convenient food list’ recently. Through an email introduction as well as the sample tasting of these mushroom offered by the marketing team of Yifon, I was able to experience the greatness in these healthy and convenient bottled mushrooms. They did not set any conditions on promoting these products, but on my own accord, I thought why not just share my tasting experience with my readers here since it is genuinely a product that worth trying, in my opinion. Anyway, I used it in my recipe.read more
“Grilled fish with Asian mushroom sauce that tingles your taste bud”
This recipe was created for my Christmas dinner in 2010. We had chicken chop the year before, and so, I thought of cooking grilled fish this time. I always have craving for grilled fish fillet recently, but I always cook Chinese meals, if not pasta dishes in normal days. So, this Christmas gave me a good opportunity to explore this grilled fish recipe since I usually cook Western meal for Western festivals as it sounds more appropriate to such celebrations. Further more, grilled fish is much easier to prepare and cook. I wanted a quick cooking for this festive dinner so that I could spare some good time for making my own log cake.read more
“Spaghetti with fusion cooking style that you will surely love it”
Called this recipe by listing out it’s main ingredients, I was not sure how to name this Japanese-Chinese-Western styles pasta dish. However, this recipe is rustic yet elegant.
This classic homemade dish calls for spaghetti smothered in a hearty chicken stock with a touch of Japanese Mirin. The spaghetti strands drew in the full essence of chicken stock and made it so flavourful and tasty.
It was a big hit by my family and surely mopped up the entire cooking, every time I cooked this pasta.read more

“Broccoli floret so much resembling the blossom. So, it’s named 花开富贵, simply refers to blossom brings wealth.. This is my deluxe version of broccoli with mock abalone and stewed mushroom steak (素鲍片西兰花烩扒菇).”
I blogged on this similar recipe two years ago. And, because of the 1st day of Lunar month of January, which means it was a Chu Yi (初一), that was our vegetarian day, even if it’s Chinese New Year, I cooked this dish again, for dinner on the very 1st day of CNY. However, to celebrate festive day better, I made my dishes more presentable than usual, trying to make its appearance look like restaurant standard (laughing).. Well, at least I was certain that the taste of this dish was more or less comparable, with less money spent on its ingredients.read more
“Express Chicken Soup with Chinese Herbal Spices from Seah’s, to keep your loved ones at their best at all time!”
Some might find Chinese soup too bland for the palate. Its taste has been described as drinking “plain water”, as Chinese soup is always cooked watery (not in thick consistency), and it does not taste creamy. You may realise, Chinese soup is often taste subtle and light (smile). I love Chinese soup, so as my family!
Tonight’s not any soup recipe boiling from scratch, nor it needed long hours boiling. So, one of these great choices you may consider for express and simple soup cooking even on busy weeknights is the Seah’s herbal spice for chicken soup! Taste of this chicken soup cooked with Seah’s herbal spices was fairly good, especially for how quick it was. Unlike most instant packet spices, this won’t make you feel thirsty after taste.read more
