“Vacation is about fun & food. When food is not a good enough option, look out for fun, most out of all!”
Revisiting Club Med Bintan Ria was my wish, and I just did, after 8 years. It was done with my two children, this time. I had something to say… Yea, once lauded Club Med Bintan in my old posts (year 2008) as one of the best all-inclusive resorts that served plentiful great food, I felt the obligation to pen down the latest experience of my most recent visit there.
As a foodie alike, my emphasis was always on the food. Food? Yes, food. There were only two restaurants serving their guests now. First, the main buffet restaurant, The Waterfall, was where we had all 3 meals a day throughout the stay, it had nothing much for me to shout about.read more
1)Green Tea & Macadamia Nuts Cake. This luscious cake was so delicious with its pleasant sweet taste and fun’nutty’ texture in between. Its mild green tea flavour elevated the overall. It was definitely a good treat after heavy meal.
2) Tri-Colour Mousse in the Glass. It was made with 3 layers of mousse, vanilla strawberry and chocolate. The texture of the mousse was so velvety and light-bodied. Its pleasantly sweet taste was certainly a plus point in making the glass a very popular dessert choice.read more
Just couldn’t stop sharing with you how much fun & food we had over the 5-day trip in Club Med. Here we had some main food to showcase. Good and not too good, just wanted you to have some brief ideas so that you could choose the best among the wide choices and seemingly unlimited spreads. :)
1) Scallop & Asparagus in XO Sauce. These sautéed scallops were nicely done to its tender and juicy state. With XO sauce added to the scallops, taste was robust and delicious.read more
“The dainty appetizers and light bites @ Club Med, Binta Ria”
What else? It was all about the food we had during our 5-day Bintan Island trip! :) Just to share with you some of these unique and luscious appetizers…
1) Chicken fillet in sliced cucumber roll, and the plating, complete with pineapple cubes as well as some sort of pineapple juice reduction as its sauce. Texture of chicken was juicy and the cucumber yielded a refreshing crunch to it. The pineapple cubes also complement well with the chicken cucumber rolls. Overall taste was not over powering, but enough to fill your palate pleasantly. I thought the dish looked easy to assemble it at home, I should just try to replicate my version of it one day. :)read more
