My Corning Visions Cookingware

“Glass pots from Visions, yes, I loved it!”

Corningware from Visions had always been my favourite cookware. I loved its beautiful transparent and elegant looking as well as durability of the glass.

These glass pots came in various sizes, but the outlook design was always remained the same.  I thought it made the glass pots unique and recognizable.

I used Visions glass pots to cook my daily meals for over 5 years and these 3 pots in the photos were my second set since the 2 pots from the first set were used for quite awhile already. It was nothing due to cracking or any unusable reasons. Just me, and I liked to use brand new things, especially on kitchenwares, from time to time. read more

Chicken Stock Cube with No MSG?

“Chicken stock for better taste in your cooking”

Chicken stock is an aromatic substance to add to your cooking of soup, vegetables, meat and sauce. Chicken stock is made of actual chicken, vegetables and some other ingredients and spices.

Chicken stock in form of powder, stock cube and broth (liquid base) are widely available in most supermarket and sundry shops. Most of the chicken stocks contain additional MSG (Monosodium Glutamine). Hence, many of us have this perception that adding chicken stock is “no good”. However, don’t forget you can always get the NO MSG added type. Maggi Brand and Knorr Brand produce the no added MSG chicken stock cube which considered even better and healthier type. [Post Note: However, just realized from an article that there are still some hidden MSG from the yeast extract found in the chicken stock/ cube. Do consider this.] read more

Lea & Perrins® Worcestershire Sauce

“Lea & Perrins’ sauce adds extra flavor to my meaty recipes”

Lea & Perrins’ worcestershire sauce was founded in year 1835, it was from Worcester.

The taste of this dark sauce made of vinegar with some special seasonings. It’s not so salty or sweet, but pleasant sourish taste.

My main use of this condiment is for meat and poultry recipes.

By adding drops of worcestershire sauce, it gives extra flavor to the dish expecially meaty one.

Instead of using oyster sauce and soy sauce to marinate your pork chops, try using just the worcestershier sauce. Some use it to marinate steaks as well. read more
