Talking about dieting…. The vinegar dieting is back on demand! Heating up again gradually…. I am one of the followers on this diet. One of my dieting methods, now.
I don’t think there are much scientific proof, besides having concrete findings that vinegar helps in body cleansing and detoxification (or similar effect). However, it does not equal to sure-successful weight lose effect. Only many (too many) hear-say that it helps a lot in slimming down, especially after the testimonial from one of the Japanese celebrity who lost 8kg in a month, many years ago. This vinegar diet has, then, become so popular and believing.
“Many reasons to start eating healthy oat meal porridge”
It has been in trend to make overnight oat meal for breakfast in the breastfeeding community, but I have more reasons to start having it on daily basis. Not only for increasing break milk supply, I need this healthy low-fat meal to kick start my dieting plan, too.
However, as many would agree, who likes oat porridge?! So many people, including myself, were having this impression that oat meal is for the sick patient, and it taste yucky…. but but, let me tell you now, it’s not true!
Following my footsteps, my girl has been religiously drinking MILO since she was a little girl. In fact, she drinks MILO for almost every meal! Regardless of where we dine – coffee shop, restaurant, cafeteria, McDonald’s and even in her school canteen during recess – she will surely order herself a cup of MILO to go with her meals.
She also loves having it for breakfast (which has been made compulsory by her mum, aka me!). Yes, no skipping of breakfast is allowed in the house, and my girl is happy to have a cup of MILO to go along with whatever she is having for breakfast.
Cooking fish may be tricky, as it has a naturally subtle flavor and extremely delicate texture that requires extra attention in a very little cooking time. This comes handy for people who are busy and can’t afford to cook for hours on end. But that doesn’t mean a delicious meal can’t be prepared in such a short cooking period. So aside from baking, frying and steaming fish with your favorite herbs like basil and fennel, an ingenious way to liven up your meals is to incorporate wine into your cooking process.
Today’s my baby first weaning to have semi-solid food on his 5.5 months.
I was so excited for the past weeks thinking which food shall I start with as the first solid food in his life. I chose Avocado in the end. I personally loved Avocado and that this delicious fruit has to be my precious baby’s first food (chuckles)!
Another reason to choose Avocado other than the usual pear which was usually recommended, you do not need to cook or steam it. I am not lazy! I was just making it an easy starting to keep my baby and myself going.Oh yes, he likes it alot! Finished almost all. :)

Serves 2 Ingredients 1 ripe avocado, 90% blacken on the skin 50ml – 80ml of breast milk or formula milk
Half avocado counts about 135kcal.

Tips: Use room temperature Avocado.
* Choose ripe Avocado which has ripen with almost 90% blacken in its outer skin.
* If you bought an unripe dark green avocado, leave it outside in the kitchen table for 3 – 4 days.
* Adjust the adding of milk to your preferred texture of avocado purée. The more milk you add, the smoother and softer consistency yields.
* First day of weaning, try with 2 teaspoons of feeding will do. Add amount of feeding gradually.
