Light Papaya Soup

“It’s one of the best soups for health & diet watchers. Also great for all ages!”

All the ingredients used in this soup recipe were truly nutritious. Packed with high content of nutrients, and they were delicious to taste, too.

Some nutritional facts:
Papaya, a fruit that contains not only high amount of antioxidant, but also an enzyme (papain) which helps digest protein. Snow fungus, nourishes your lungs and skin. Black-eyed beans as a kind of legumes. I did not need to highlight the rest of the familiar ingredients. Best thing, this super delicious soup was so flavourful with its natural sweetness from the papaya, we don’t need much of the seasoning here. A pinch of salt would be the limit to it. More

Snow Cod Pot (鳕鱼煲)

Just as I said, this all-in-one fish dish was amazingly simple to assemble. Quick, easy and healthy.

It’s most suitable for young children as well as adults, in fact, all ages, to enjoy. Super healthy and delicious fish, plus vegetables of different colors, what else could we ask for? :) More

Grilled Mixed Herbs Salmon & Tomatoes (Air-Fried)

Crisped and browned on the surface, but tender and moist inside. That’s how my grilled Salmon was. I usually cooked this way when I wanted to have pasta or noodles in sauce, or rice with other saucy dishes.

I wouldn’t serve as it is as a main course, if I did not make a sauce to go along, even though it wasn’t dried at all. I just thought it would be a bit plain.. unless to make some wet sides eg baked beans, gravies baby corns, mashed potato with sauce, etc. Salsa or cheesy spinach might be good, too. Those would do.. Alright, I should do the Western main course style the next time. :)

Oh yes, this super easy and delicious fish dish is meant for the busy parents, working couples and moody simplistic personnel. Yes… It took merely 20 minutes, from preparation to cooked. You didn’t even need to marinate it. Quick yet healthy. If you liked, serve it with steamed rice, too! I did, at times. :D More

Grilled Curry Cheese Prawns (Air-Fried)

“Curry with Cheese? Yes. One of the less-usual but the best combinations for a seafood dish.”

Actually this cheesy curry prawn dish could be cooked in various ways (of course), on a grill, in a frying pan, in air-fryer (with its non-stick grill pan), or even in a wok! This time, I chose air-frying. Yes, it was easy, no doubt. Its grill pan made the cooking even easier as it’s non stick. It was easier than having it cooked on the mesh basket. Get one and it would make all your grilling (fish, chicken, meat, etc) much easier.

For this recipe, I used an instant curry pack bought from supermarket. Any brand of these ready-packed curry pastes would do the job, but if you want to know which brand was used for this particular cooking, I used Singlong instant fish curry paste (*actual picture of the pack posted in my Instagram, and FB page under comment). Seaweed Crisps (Air-Fried)

Yes, I considered this the easiest and relatively healthier snack for the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration, adding on to its healthier cooking method, air frying.

This snack could be made in various ways and flavors. No doubt, those added with seasonings taste better, at the same time, less healthy. I reckoned homemade with minimal (better types of) ingredients. Mine? Moderately good, in term of taste and nutritional value, good enough to let your older toddler to enjoy it. :) More

Moist and fluffy Banana Sponge Cake

One of my favorite pastime activities is to bake with my little one. Meaningful, loving, fulfilling, educational, and most of all, indulging.

My 3-yo son and I baked at the noon, just in time to indulge in this super soft and fluffy sweet treat as our tea.

Oh yes, I always get a large comb of bananas which we never able to finish up before having to feed the overripe to the trash bin. How come I never thought freezing them?? Quick Homemade Chrysanthemum Ginger Tea

Simple remedy to take care of your eyes and throat during the bad hazy weather. Boil and serve this to the whole family, every other day, please.

Haze hit a severe unhealthy level of over 200 PSI this morning. My windows and door were all closed, but I was still feeling dizzy, sore throat and eyes discomfort. Everyone was supposed to be out there enjoying the public holiday, but the road seemed quieter than usual, looking down from my windows.. Yes, it was best to stay home, especially young children.

To ease my throat pain and help in strengthen my lungs, I have been boiling this super convenient homemade herbal tea. Sorry that I did not post to share earlier, I did not expect the haze to be that bad. More
