“My easy-peasy one-dish-meal version of Mapo tofu”
Happened to chance upon a Japanese version of spicy bean paste at $2 Daiso store. Hence, made a dish with this instant paste and a block of silken tofu I had for quite some time as well as whatever was available in my refrigerator.
Simple and easy recipe I have created for tonight’s dinner. It was subtly tasted with just a hinge of spiciness from the bean paste. So, if you are a fan of super spicy dish, add chili oil to it.
Serves 3-4 Ingredients 1 block of silken tofu, large cubed 1 bowl of sweet corn kernel, pre-boiled to cook and soften (from 1 sweet corn) 150g of minced meat, seasoned with light soy sauce and sesame oil read more
“Easy & scrumptious Western food which can be a meal by itself, made with air fryer!”
Singapore IT show was happening since two days back, and I got a great deal on a XL digital air fryer as an upgrade to my existing smaller one. I thought it would be a good to start using it to make some delicious food as soon as I could, as a form of reward to him. :)
This stuffed potato was delicious, suitable for all ages, and could be served as party snacks, or as a meal! With the help of air fryer, the potato was nicely baked. Its potato skin was crisped to its perfection. And, this recipe is surely a great way to hide away the vegetables!read more
“Mac & Cheese with a small twist to suit my son’s palate.”
As my son loved pasta in tomato base, I thought he would like his Mac & cheese to be with tomato taste, too. Not that he doesn’t take cream based, I just wanted to try out, hoping to make his meal the most pleasant one each time, if possible.
This version of my toddler meals is slightly more elaborated, and thus, a few more ingredients and steps are needed here. However, it’s still easy to follow. The same recipe could be adopted to adult meal, too, by adding a little salt and stuff. :)read more
“Delicious and wholesome lunch with healthy multi-grain wrap.”
Wrap meals often remind me of Mexico food, but I would prefer having the wrap with an Asian flavor closer to my palate at times, if I were to make one at home. For this reason, I chose to make my wrap in my Asian inspired recipe. Yes, with curry, pork… Already having my dry curry pork recipe which cooked to more an Indian cuisine (See recipe here), the curry pork cooking has now been simplified, for the wrap creation. Call it Asian-fusion recipe here, it’s mixed to a western flavor, instead.:)read more
“Cook whatever you like even the famous local delicacies you have been enjoying only dining out!”
Everyone was craving for 鱼头炉 (“Yu Tou Lu” popular local Chinese soup dish, fish head pot), but we weren’t out to our favorite stalls for this, wasn’t feeling too well to go out for dinner after work.
Not to feel disappointed, I was happy to cook it at home. Taste was 80% alike outside stalls, as my soup wasn’t as ‘sweet’ as those since no msg added, but homemade pot had the most abundance of ingredients. That’s we called homemade…read more
