“A near 100% successful bake for a beginner baker”
I baked a cake this evening! This was my 3rd time baking a cake. Chocolate cakes I have made for the first two times, first was typically full recipe while second baking was using cake mix. Of course, second one was more successful as it was the easiest and simplest way for a beginner baker to bake a cake without much failure (chuckling). It’s typically a 3-step baking method: Mix, beat and bake.
In order to save time, I used cake mix again, and chose “yellow” flavor this time. “Yellow”, I guess it should be original flavor… No indication of butter or vanilla used. Just called it “Yellow” on the box. It contains wheat and milk, and tastes like butter plus vanilla flavour. I supposed to get a chocolate frosting, too. However, I have forgone it as I wish to taste its original flavour as first time trial.read more
“A luscious No-bake Low-Fat Yogurt Cheese Cake with Easy-Making Steps. You may try it anytime, any day!”
Yogurt is one of the staple food in my refrigerator. To eat it more interestingly, I find all sort of ways to have yogurt added to my dessert or fruits dishes.
Cheese cake is one of our favourite desserts, so far. However, those rich heavy cheese cakes are often too creamy, making me a little sick after having the entire slice… Well, this inspired me to make my own cheese cake. So, I made this cheese cake with my favourite yogurt added into it!read more
Most of the children like pizza as it usually uses these two ingredients often favoured by the kids… tomato sauce and cheese!
Most children love pizza and first thing come to their mind if ask them “what’s for dinner”, is Pizza! They would be extremely happy to enjoy the dinner that evening. However, eating too much or too often might bring opposite spectrum of joy, the worries on health. Pizza is kinda fast food, and most of the pizza are very high in salt and fat. I often felt very thirsty after a pizza meal purchased from the pizzeria.read more
“Simply yummy breakfast toast to start my great day”
Toast is bread which has been heated dry, with oven toaster or baking oven. I like toasting plain sliced bread and then spread the fruit jam, butter with sugar, condensed milk or kaya (coconut-egg jam), or make toasted sandwich with extra toppings.
Toast is crispy and pleasant to eat while it’s warm. However, toasting has to be lightly and do not set too high heat (if using baking oven which heat setting is needed), otherwise, the bread will be harden. Lightly browned toast will be just nice. Toast is simply perfect as breakfast to start your great day. I like to have the toast with soft-boiled eggs and a cup of aromatic hot low-fat coffee or ginger flavoured milk tea! Otherwise, a set of toasted ham & melted cheese sandwich will be as great.read more
I always make this for tea time or when I can’t finish the loaf of bread purchased more than 3 days (it’s harden and not so nice to eat it plain).
One could easily swipe away 4 slices of toast made with this simply-easy recipe. I could at least eat 3 slices at one go, no joke. Milk bread, honey, and berries, I considered this dish as healthy snack and good breakfast.
As for weight-watcherlike myself, snacking 2 slices of toasts with berries and 1 spoonful of maple syrup (30g) at about 300 kcal seems a little too “heavy”. So, I prefer eating only the toasts and berries without syrup. This helps me to save 90 kcal. If go with choice of light bread (low-fat), it’ll save you another 7 kcal. If just the toasts by itself counts about 183 kcal.read more
