Japanese Egg Salad Wraps

“Complimentary ideas for simple & quick dinner”

I posted my new creation for Spicy Pork wrap (See Recipe) dinner just couple of days ago, my family had been asking for it, again… However, I decided not to make that again so soon, because I had more wrap recipes which I was so keen to try out! Here’s one of them…..

Yes, if you are very keen to try out the wraps, but wondered how to fix more than a meal with it, just to let you know that Mission Foods are now having a great promotion on giving away free recipe booklet with every purchase of two packages of wraps. With this recipe booklet by Adam Liaw, it was easy to finish using up my wraps, even by small family. More

Spicy BBQ Pork & Asparagus Mushrooms Wrap Rolls

“Mother’s Day special wrap meal for the mothers. Serve this restaurant standard dish at home to celebrate with your mommy and loved ones!”

Oh yes, Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and it will be the perfect time to go the extra mile and show your appreciation by whipping up an awesome Masterchef-worthy meal for the leading lady in your life! That’s what Mission Foods Singapore has planned about..

And here, I came out with my newly created wrap recipe, for my mother, your mother, you and me! Of course, fathers and sons were not missed. Everyone loved this wrap so much! Each of them had two large rolls which required using 2 wraps for each roll they had! More

Cheesy Mashed Potato with Cream Sauce Gravy

“It’s a mashed potato well filled with gravy and delicious toppings.”

It looked like a mashed potato cake to me. It could be served as snack for tea, a side for dinner, and even a main for lunch. Homemade cheesy mashed potato is delicious.

I used the store-bought gravy pack which needed some assembly to be done. From Ikea food market. Yes, just to try out. It was tasty, indeed. (*Actual pic of the cream sauce pack was posted in my Instagram or FB page’s comment) More

Grilled Curry Cheese Prawns (Air-Fried)

“Curry with Cheese? Yes. One of the less-usual but the best combinations for a seafood dish.”

Actually this cheesy curry prawn dish could be cooked in various ways (of course), on a grill, in a frying pan, in air-fryer (with its non-stick grill pan), or even in a wok! This time, I chose air-frying. Yes, it was easy, no doubt. Its grill pan made the cooking even easier as it’s non stick. It was easier than having it cooked on the mesh basket. Get one and it would make all your grilling (fish, chicken, meat, etc) much easier.

For this recipe, I used an instant curry pack bought from supermarket. Any brand of these ready-packed curry pastes would do the job, but if you want to know which brand was used for this particular cooking, I used Singlong instant fish curry paste (*actual picture of the pack posted in my Instagram, and FB page under comment). Spicy Ma Po Tofu with Sweet Corn (Spicy Soy Bean Paste Tofu)

“My easy-peasy one-dish-meal version of Mapo tofu”

Happened to chance upon a Japanese version of spicy bean paste at $2 Daiso store. Hence, made a dish with this instant paste and a block of silken tofu I had for quite some time as well as whatever was available in my refrigerator.

Simple and easy recipe I have created for tonight’s dinner. It was subtly tasted with just a hinge of spiciness from the bean paste. So, if you are a fan of super spicy dish, add chili oil to it. More

Grilled Fried Egg Sandwich With Creamy Avocado (Air-Fried)

(It’s all about air-fry….)

It’s not impossible to fix up a scrumptious and healthy sandwich breakfast without going through extensive cooking process in the busy morning. Air-fryer might be an option.

I made an egg sandwich with creamy avocado with an air fryer. Of course, some would still find it easier to do the conventional way, on the stove. Either way, this recipe works. More

Baked (Pull-Apart) Orange French Toast

“In between orange French toast and banana bread pudding, to be served with loads of fruit toppings.”

I admit I wasn’t that creative in cooking at times. As this blog of MY was meant to be a record of my home cooking so as to pass down the recipes in a digital way to my next gen in future. I thought of just as well sharing it with all people who loved cooking, or would like to start cooking with some easy-to-follow recipes and scrumptious enough dishes. Thus, the sharing.

Like I mentioned before, some of the dishes were adapted from recipes by other great cooks. What I usually did is to vary and simplify these nice recipes to suit my simple cooking style.. There were also those popular dine-out dishes and delicacies which we loved to eat so much, but to make sure what exactly went into the dishes, I turned them into my very own homecooked, in a healthier way and less sinful elements in it. Easy Orange Butter Cake

“Soft, fluffy and aromatic butter cake, with my super easy to follow recipe.”

Suddenly felt like eating an orange cake.. No frill, simply got some fresh oranges from NTUC Fairprice to bake myself an aromatic and scrumptious orange cake. Very simple to bake, and it’s definitely a worth-trying recipe, with the freshest and simplest ingredients.

Look how fluffy and moist the orange was. Children would love it most! More
